To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David.
¹ O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
² Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
³ When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
⁴ what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
⁵ Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
⁶ You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
⁷ all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
⁸ the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
⁹ O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (ESV)

¹ How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts!
² My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
³ Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God.
⁴ Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah
⁵ Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
⁶ As they go through the Valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.
⁷ They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.
⁸ O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
⁹ Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed!
¹⁰ For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
¹² O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! (ESV)

A Psalm of David.
¹ O LORD, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you!
² Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!
³ Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!
⁴ Do not let my heart incline to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity, and let me not eat of their delicacies!
⁵ Let a righteous man strike me—it is a kindness; let him rebuke me—it is oil for my head; let my head not refuse it. Yet my prayer is continually against their evil deeds.
⁶ When their judges are thrown over the cliff, then they shall hear my words, for they are pleasant.
⁷ As when one plows and breaks up the earth, so shall our bones be scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
⁸ But my eyes are toward you, O GOD, my Lord; in you I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!
⁹ Keep me from the trap that they have laid for me and from the snares of evildoers!
¹⁰ Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by safely.

A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer.
¹ With my voice I cry out to the LORD; with my voice I plead for mercy to the LORD.
² I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him.
³ When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.
⁴ Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.
⁵ I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
⁶ Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me!
⁷ Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me. (ESV)

⁶ On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined.
⁷ And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.
⁸ He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken.
⁹ It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” (ESV)

¹ Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you.’”
² The LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A staff.”
³ And he said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it.
⁴ But the LORD said to Moses, “Put out your hand and catch it by the tail”—so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand—
⁵ “that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”
⁶ Again, the LORD said to him, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” And he put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow.
⁷ Then God said, “Put your hand back inside your cloak.” So he put his hand back inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh.
⁸ “If they will not believe you,” God said, “or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign.
⁹ If they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you shall take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.”
¹⁰ But Moses said to the LORD, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”
¹¹ Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
¹² Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”
¹³ But he said, “Oh, my Lord, please send someone else.”
¹⁴ Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses and he said, “Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
¹⁵ You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do.
¹⁶ He shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and you shall be as God to him.
¹⁷ And take in your hand this staff, with which you shall do the signs.”
¹⁸ Moses went back to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, “Please let me go back to my brothers in Egypt to see whether they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.” (ESV)

¹ And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And they bound Jesus and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate.
² And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, “You have said so.”
³ And the chief priests accused him of many things.
⁴ And Pilate again asked him, “Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.”
⁵ But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.
⁶ Now at the feast he used to release for them one prisoner for whom they asked.
⁷ And among the rebels in prison, who had committed murder in the insurrection, there was a man called Barabbas.
⁸ And the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to do as he usually did for them.
⁹ And he answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?”
¹⁰ For he perceived that it was out of envy that the chief priests had delivered him up.
¹¹ But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release for them Barabbas instead.
¹² And Pilate again said to them, “Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?”
¹³ And they cried out again, “Crucify him.”
¹⁴ And Pilate said to them, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him.”
¹⁵ So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. (ESV)

¹ Now the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
² “This is the statute of the law that the LORD has commanded: Tell the people of Israel to bring you a red heifer without defect, in which there is no blemish, and on which a yoke has never come.
³ And you shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be taken outside the camp and slaughtered before him.
⁴ And Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
⁵ And the heifer shall be burned in his sight. Its skin, its flesh, and its blood, with its dung, shall be burned.
⁶ And the priest shall take cedarwood and hyssop and scarlet yarn, and throw them into the fire burning the heifer.
⁷ Then the priest shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. But the priest shall be unclean until evening.
⁸ The one who burns the heifer shall wash his clothes in water and bathe his body in water and shall be unclean until evening.
⁹ And a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place. And they shall be kept for the water for impurity for the congregation of the people of Israel; it is a sin offering.
¹⁰ And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening. And this shall be a perpetual statute for the people of Israel, and for the stranger who sojourns among them.
¹¹ “Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days.
¹² He shall cleanse himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and so be clean. But if he does not cleanse himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not become clean.
¹³ Whoever touches a dead person, the body of anyone who has died, and does not cleanse himself, defiles the tabernacle of the LORD, and that person shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not thrown on him, he shall be unclean. His uncleanness is still on him.
¹⁴ “This is the law when someone dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean seven days.
¹⁵ And every open vessel that has no cover fastened on it is unclean.
¹⁶ Whoever in the open field touches someone who was killed with a sword or who died naturally, or touches a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
¹⁷ For the unclean they shall take some ashes of the burnt sin offering, and fresh water shall be added in a vessel.
¹⁸ Then a clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water and sprinkle it on the tent and on all the furnishings and on the persons who were there and on whoever touched the bone, or the slain or the dead or the grave.
¹⁹ And the clean person shall sprinkle it on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day. Thus on the seventh day he shall cleanse him, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and at evening he shall be clean.
²⁰ “If the man who is unclean does not cleanse himself, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, since he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. Because the water for impurity has not been thrown on him, he is unclean.
²¹ And it shall be a statute forever for them. The one who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and the one who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.
²² And whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean, and anyone who touches it shall be unclean until evening.”

¹ And the people of Israel, the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh. And Miriam died there and was buried there.
² Now there was no water for the congregation. And they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
³ And the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Would that we had perished when our brothers perished before the LORD!
⁴ Why have you brought the assembly of the LORD into this wilderness, that we should die here, both we and our cattle?
⁵ And why have you made us come up out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It is no place for grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.”
⁶ Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. And the glory of the LORD appeared to them,
⁷ and the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
⁸ “Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.”
⁹ And Moses took the staff from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
¹⁰ Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?”
¹¹ And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock.
¹² And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”
¹³ These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel quarreled with the LORD, and through them he showed himself holy.
¹⁴ Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom: “Thus says your brother Israel: You know all the hardship that we have met:
¹⁵ how our fathers went down to Egypt, and we lived in Egypt a long time. And the Egyptians dealt harshly with us and our fathers.
¹⁶ And when we cried to the LORD, he heard our voice and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. And here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.
¹⁷ Please let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or vineyard, or drink water from a well. We will go along the King’s Highway. We will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left until we have passed through your territory.”
¹⁸ But Edom said to him, “You shall not pass through, lest I come out with the sword against you.”
¹⁹ And the people of Israel said to him, “We will go up by the highway, and if we drink of your water, I and my livestock, then I will pay for it. Let me only pass through on foot, nothing more.”
²⁰ But he said, “You shall not pass through.” And Edom came out against them with a large army and with a strong force.
²¹ Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his territory, so Israel turned away from him.
²² And they journeyed from Kadesh, and the people of Israel, the whole congregation, came to Mount Hor.
²³ And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom,
²⁴ “Let Aaron be gathered to his people, for he shall not enter the land that I have given to the people of Israel, because you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah.
²⁵ Take Aaron and Eleazar his son and bring them up to Mount Hor.
²⁶ And strip Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. And Aaron shall be gathered to his people and shall die there.”
²⁷ Moses did as the LORD commanded. And they went up Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
²⁸ And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. And Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.
²⁹ And when all the congregation saw that Aaron had perished, all the house of Israel wept for Aaron thirty days.

¹ When the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb, heard that Israel was coming by the way of Atharim, he fought against Israel, and took some of them captive.
² And Israel vowed a vow to the LORD and said, “If you will indeed give this people into my hand, then I will devote their cities to destruction.”
³ And the LORD heeded the voice of Israel and gave over the Canaanites, and they devoted them and their cities to destruction. So the name of the place was called Hormah. (ESV)

³³ And they said to him, “The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink.”
³⁴ And Jesus said to them, “Can you make wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?
³⁵ The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.”
³⁶ He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment. If he does, he will tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old.
³⁷ And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
³⁸ But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.
³⁹ And no one after drinking old wine desires new, for he says, ‘The old is good.’”

¹ On a Sabbath, while he was going through the grainfields, his disciples plucked and ate some heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands.
² But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”
³ And Jesus answered them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:
⁴ how he entered the house of God and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him?”
⁵ And he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”
⁶ On another Sabbath, he entered the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered.
⁷ And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find a reason to accuse him.
⁸ But he knew their thoughts, and he said to the man with the withered hand, “Come and stand here.” And he rose and stood there.
⁹ And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?”
¹⁰ And after looking around at them all he said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored.
¹¹ But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus. (ESV)

¹ Does not wisdom call? Does not understanding raise her voice?
² On the heights beside the way, at the crossroads she takes her stand;
³ beside the gates in front of the town, at the entrance of the portals she cries aloud:
⁴ “To you, O men, I call, and my cry is to the children of man.
⁵ O simple ones, learn prudence; O fools, learn sense.
⁶ Hear, for I will speak noble things, and from my lips will come what is right,
⁷ for my mouth will utter truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
⁸ All the words of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing twisted or crooked in them.
⁹ They are all straight to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.
¹⁰ Take my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold,
¹¹ for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her. (ESV)

¹ For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.
² He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness.
³ Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins just as he does for those of the people.
⁴ And no one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
⁵ So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”;
⁶ as he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”
⁷ In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
⁸ Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.
⁹ And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,
¹⁰ being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
¹¹ About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
¹² For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food,
¹³ for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.
¹⁴ But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

¹ Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
² and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
³ And this we will do if God permits.
⁴ For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,
⁵ and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come,
⁶ and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
⁷ For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.
⁸ But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.
⁹ Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation.
¹⁰ For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
¹¹ And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,
¹² so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
¹³ For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself,
¹⁴ saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.”
¹⁵ And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise.
¹⁶ For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation.
¹⁷ So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath,
¹⁸ so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.
¹⁹ We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,
²⁰ where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

¹ For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
² and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace.
³ He is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest forever.
⁴ See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils!
⁵ And those descendants of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment in the law to take tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, though these also are descended from Abraham.
⁶ But this man who does not have his descent from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.
⁷ It is beyond dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior.
⁸ In the one case tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, by one of whom it is testified that he lives.
⁹ One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
¹⁰ for he was still in the loins of his ancestor when Melchizedek met him.
¹¹ Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron?
¹² For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.
¹³ For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar.
¹⁴ For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.
¹⁵ This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek,
¹⁶ who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life.
¹⁷ For it is witnessed of him, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”
¹⁸ For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness
¹⁹ (for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
²⁰ And it was not without an oath. For those who formerly became priests were made such without an oath,
²¹ but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever.’”
²² This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.
²³ The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office,
²⁴ but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever.
²⁵ Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
²⁶ For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.
²⁷ He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself.
²⁸ For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.

¹ Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
² a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not man.
³ For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer.
⁴ Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law.
⁵ They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, “See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.”
⁶ But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
⁷ For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.
⁸ For he finds fault with them when he says: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
⁹ not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.
¹⁰ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
¹¹ And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
¹² For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
¹³ In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. (ESV)
